The Wisp is a Northern Ghost Works ghost pin filled with swirling violet, blue, dusky rose and deep moorland green.
Its pattern reflects the strange colours described by the hunters on the night they encountered her — the dark heather beneath their feet, the last colour of the evening sky, and the unnatural violet light that moved ahead of them across the moor.
The Wisp
They first saw her beyond the heather, where the ground fell away towards the marsh.
At first there was only a strange light — violet at its centre, pale blue around the edges — moving slowly above the earth. One of the hunters thought it was flame. Another swore that something was walking inside it.
When they drew closer, the light took the shape of a woman.
She did not turn towards them. She did not speak. She simply crossed the moor until the darkness swallowed her.
In the morning they returned to the place.
There were three sets of footprints in the wet ground.
All belonged to the hunters.
